Deliciousness in Stockholm

The food in Sweden is on point. The US needs to step up their food game, and fast. This post is going to be kind of short, but it's going to tell you exactly what Sweden is doing better than the US, foodwise.

Yesterday, before going to see the Nobel Museum, we went to a burger place called Prime Burger. I was super excited and ready to enjoy some delicious food. I ate a cheeseburger with onions, tomatoes, lettuce, and pickles. It was like nothing I had ever tasted before. I tried to make a comparison between it and an American restaurant, but it was better than anything that I could think of. That's right, I just said that Sweden has done American food better than America. I know I sound crazy, but it was so good, you have to believe me. To make our meal a complete American meal, we (the kids) all had fries and milkshake. I literally thought it was better than any burger I have ever tasted. Although I could end the post here and leave your mouths watering, I would like to go on and torture you with deliciousness that you can't taste.

We had some delicious Thai food in Sweden as well. I had some AMAZING satay (chicken that you dip in a peanut sauce), and it was so good. I wish that I could replay all of these amazing moments in real life because this is my last night in Stockholm. I wish that the US would be able to up their game a little bit since the Traveling Schlossinis approve. I hope that you enjoyed not tasting all of these wonderful things.

Paddle-boating in Stockholm

view of Stockholm canal from paddleboat

We went paddle-boating on August 22, in the Djurgardsbrunnsviken River (have fun pronouncing that!) and we had a lot of fun. We wanted to have kayaks, but none were available. I was pretty disappointed, but we still got paddle-boats and we had a lot of fun on those. Michelle and I went in a two-seater, and Mama, Da, Tori, and Gianna went in the four-seater. We had a little trouble getting out of the docking area, but we made it. We paddled around the canal and relaxed in the boat. After a while, we saw (at least Michelle and I did) a party boat! It had music and dancing and everything! After relaxing and paddling for a while, we got bored and decided to leave the boat and walked around to find food for lunch.

Zendaya

We had just finished eating our gelato and had started to walk back to the hotel. We were walking down through a courtyard when we saw a mob of people. I thought that this was just a street performer, so I stood on my tiptoes to get a better view. I could only see a little bit of her hair, but I also noticed that there were lots of cameras out. I jumped up to see better. "It's definitely a celebrity," I said without very much excitement. I knew a lot of celebrity names and pictures, but not that much. I figured that it was someone I wouldn't recognize or know. Still, I jumped to see better. I saw her. My eyes widened. I did know this person, I didn't recognize her on the spot, but I knew her. It was Zendaya! I told my family quickly, "That is Zendaya!" My dad and mom didn't know her right away, but then my mom started to realize who that was. I started freaking out, and my dad grabbed pictures from above the crowd. They were mostly blurry, but it was definitely her. I was amazed. Why was she in London? Why did we see her? Why wasn't she at some more well-known sights? Why her, of all people? What was going on? As we walked away from the crowd, my mom and I had a giggly, slap-happy, weirdo moment. We laughed with our mouths and eyes still wide open. I was amazed.

I recalled that earlier that night I thought I had seen Chris Pratt sitting at the table next to us at a restaurant, but it was just a guy. I remember thinking, "What if we saw celebrities on this trip?" and "What would happen if we saw a REALLY famous celebrity?" It was really weird how I predicted (sort of predicted) how we would see a celebrity on the trip! I'm a psychic!
